St. Valentine’s Day is a key date in the cycle of transhumance. In fact, sheep come down from high mountain pastures throughout autumn and until the 14th of February.
During this period, the city holds a flea market, which attracts a large number of visitors and buyers.
The Sunday before or following St. Valentine’s Agricultural Fair, merchants, craftsmen and street vendors gather in the city centre offering a vast array of regional produce and handicrafts for sale. In addition, an exhibition of local artists is usually held at the Community Hall.
