André Avis is a passionate collector. In 1987, in partnership with the Municipality, he decided to open a museum devoted to old crafts and tools of the past.
Since then, the museum has changed names, but its mission has remained the same: to preserve and pass on the memory of old times both to grown-ups but especially to children.
Almost 25 scenes of the daily life of old have been brought to life with amazing realism. You can trace back the history of ironing (the oldest iron dates from the eighteenth century), the school, the furniture maker, the carpenter, the blacksmith, the hat, etc.
These living examples of our heritage enable us to better understand the history and ingenuity of these people.
