Within this recreational space, visitors have access to a picnic area, a children’s games area, a "boules" game field, wooded areas, a walking tour of about 2.5 km around the pond, etc.

Eventually, by following a specific route, it will be possible to extend this walk with a hike of several kilometres through the town. Actually, after a number of improvements, the pathway from the recreation area will join the Green Trail, following the Fitness Trail, past the Chapelette and through the town’s three botanical displays. Later on, the walking course may be extended even further, up to the lake of the Domaine du Lac estate.

In addition, an observatory at the entrance of the park offers an unequalled view of the wind turbines.

Finally, an open-air theatre with full electrical facilities has also been planned. It will soon offer dance shows, music concerts or theatrical performances (...). The surroundings are already captivating, and their charm will grow even more in three-four years, when vegetation will have claimed its rights, draping the site into a completely natural setting…

Recommendations

In order to preserve this place and ensure the safety of pedestrians, several rules must be observed in the park: motorised vehicles are prohibited, and so are bathing, hunting, camping, setting up shelters, lighting fires and cookouts. In addition, dogs must be leashed, and all waste must be thrown into the bins.
